About

Find, adapt and copy the right shell command in under 10 seconds.

GrepMeIfYouCan is a search engine for the shell commands Linux, infrastructure and DevOps engineers use every day. Search in plain words, edit the highlighted values, copy. Every command has a danger level, and destructive ones ask for a confirmation before the first copy.

Commands adapted from tldr-pages

Many commands are adapted from tldr-pages, a collection of simplified and community-driven man pages by the tldr-pages contributors, licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Each adapted command links to its tldr-pages source page. Changes made: each example became its own card, with a new title and description, editable values and a danger level.
